Anyone else down about their weight through the Summer months?

I need to lose weight. Not loads, even one stone and I'd feel loads better (although 2 would be ideal) but what was a few pounds has turned into half a stone, then a stone and so it creeps on.

I know my problem, I just eat a bit too much and don't exercise enough, I love food and don't really like exercise.

I look like shit in my clothes, I don't want to go and spend £££ on new 'fat' clothes. Every week I keep saying to myself I'll start cutting back on Monday, it will only take 4 weeks and I'll be halfway there, but I lose motivation.

Summer is getting me down because I want to wear shorts and nice dresses but feel awful.

Anyone else feel like this?

Yes. I started crash dieting 2 weeks ago and have already lost 6lbs. I know it's not the right way to go about things really, but I feel so much better already, and lots of my clothes that were too tight now almost fit again.

Like you, I needed to lose 2 stone, so this is a good start.

I wrote a list of all the things I hate about being fat, and all the things that are good about losing weight. I've got it on my bedside table and make sure I check it a couple of times a day to keep myself motivated.

If you start now, you can still shift some weight before the summer holidays and feel much better about yourself too.

Have you just cut back on calories or gone for a special diet?

I go away end of July and keep telling myself that there's still time

I've cut back on calories (1200 a day) but am also avoiding pretty much all carbs. Having veg, but no bread, pasta, rice etc.
