VLCD to start weight loss ok?

I hear a lot of scary things about VLCD, but I was thinking maybe one/two weeks of 800 cal days would give me a good boost. I have been fine so far this week and still managed to exercise without feeling wiped out. Taking multivitamins too.

Any tips? Best to zigzag? I have 2 stone to lose.

Just to add I'm only 5'3 so my calorie intake should be quite low anyway.

How much do you want/need to lose? That has a bearing

2st. Currently 11st4 and would like to be 9st4. 1st would get me into a healthy bmi. Just!

Undoubtedly you will lose weight on 800 calories a day but it is a really unhealthy approach and you will feel lousy. Stick to 1200 minimum intake but consider burning extra calories through exercise if you are intent on going vlc.

You are right. I felt lethargic yesterday, crashed in the evening and had to go to bed at 7pm.
Stuck to 1200 today and feel much better and managed to run about with toddler DD.
