I need to lose about 2 stone. I have joined the gym at my workplace and am watching what I eat, I am experimenting with my fitness pal at the moment. It gives me 1500 calories a day. The thing is that DH has a very sweet tooth and the house is always full of cakes, biscuits, chocolates etc. and today him and the DS's had a pizza takeaway for tea. I tried going in the other room but the smell came wafting through and I could have killed for a slice! I really don't want to be joyless or controlling about food as this is my choice not theirs (DH says I don't need to lose weight but at 5'4 and 11 st 12 I disagree) but it is so hard not to cave in and binge on all the lovely goodies a few feet away. It's not helping that I feel hungry most of the time on a reduced intake, especially in the evening and I wake up feeling starved in the night. Has anyone managed to really stick to a weight loss regime and avoid temptation? How do you stave off the hunger pangs?
