AAArgh! 11 pound difference between scales at home and scales in gym!

At the gym I am 12 7
Will they have made sure the one at the gym is accurate? What's the best one to buy for home?

You'd hope the gym one would be accurate...

Our scales are Seca, I think they're good (DH's choice and he's into accuracy). Whatever you have, make sure they're on a properly flat, hard surface.

I always put it on the floorboards in our bedroom but they could be a bit bendy!
I do hope the gym one is right. 11 pounds would make me a loss less lardy than I thought!

My gym scales has me 10 lbs lighter then home one.
My home one is right though. I checked with the gym instructor and he said the gym ones are wrong.

My scales at home vary by 10lb depending on where on the flat floorboards they are - I have no clue as to weight and go by clothes fitting now, that's all that matters any way, really.

I asked one of the gym instructors today and she said it was 2-3lb "too nice to you" but definitely not 11lb.

Why do I still think in stones and pounds when I hate the imperial system?

Me too - odd as my scales are set to kilograms! But 1kg (off!) doesn't sound nearly as good two pounds (even though its a bit more). 3kg doesn't sound much but half a stone does.

Oh, yes, anyone could lose 3kg.
Half a stone is a much greater achievement!
