I need your advise, especially if you’ve been through this. My daughter started secondary school (completely new school with no one that she knew from old one). She was a bit anxious, but she made friends in the first week or so. She was really happy, but the group (4 in total) started to split. Not a big deal, as it happens sometimes.
Anyway, fast forward to about a month ago, some of the girls in a new group of 8 she joined started to make rude comments to her in particular. I didn’t pay much attention, sometimes it happens. But her “friend” wouldn’t really stuck up for her and she was hurt. Then one of her other “friends” from the first group started to make mean comments and invite others to mock her. Since last week everyone is ignoring her, won’t even let her sit at the table at lunch and now I found out that they are calling her Voldemort and someone sworn at her. She feels left out completely, everything she says is bringing someone to make mean comments and she is now “hiding” and doesn’t even want to try anymore. I spoke with the school, as some of the bullying is happening during lessons, they offered her student support and that’s about it. I’ve asked him to move her from her seat where she sits next to that girl, but he hasn’t done that. I don’t know what to advise her anymore or if I should move her to a different school. Or pressure this school more?
Thanks
