Bullying incident

I just found out from my 12 year old son that he witnessed a bullying incident after school a few days ago. Apparently the police were at his school about it today. He says he wasn't spoken to by the police but his head of year asked him about it and got him to identify the perpetrators from photographs. I'm quite shocked by all this and wondering why school have not said anything to me about it. Is that normal?! My son is also autistic and it just feels wrong that they spoke to him about this without telling me, even if he didn't speak directly to the police.

Also, my son was nearly a victim in this but another boy took the brunt of the incident.

He wasn't interviewed by the police, why would your presence have been necessary?

I didn't expect to be present, just thought school should maybe inform me ?

I literally wouldn't know anything about it if my son didn't tell me.

It's concerning to hear about your son's experience with bullying and the school's lack of communication. It's crucial for schools to keep parents informed, especially when it involves sensitive situations. Your son’s perspective is valuable, and it’s important that he feels safe discussing these matters. Perhaps engaging him in a fun activity, like playing Snow Rider 3D, can help him relax and open up about his feelings.
