Hi everyone,
So I am the mum of a long term bullied teenager. This has gone on for 18 months or more.
My son is 17. Am I in the right forum? I know this is the bullying support forum but should I be in the teenager support forum?

I really need some advise/support.

Thanks in advance

I'm so sorry to hear about your DC. I have a DC a bit younger who has faced all sorts. It is so hard and I've found it impossible to empower my DC against these cruel people so following with interest. Is the bullying in person and online?

Where is he when the bullying is taking place, and who is doing it? Can you go to the police and have them charged for harassment?

Hi there, Thank you both for responding to me.

So it started in secondary school and has gone on online and in person. By the same group of people of sorts but a large amount too. Police have been involved on and off due to the harassment. But I am sure you don't need me to tell you about proof. And even though a lot of it was online and we might know certain people behind things written online, it is proving it is that person. However, my son has also been physically attacked. 1 time this was dealt with to some extent by police but it wasn't the outcome it should have been and sadly, did cause more backlash for us as a family from the bullies where we were targeted as a family with other things. My son has recently been physically attacked again and we are in the early stages of another police report. I have kept all diary entries and have accumulated so called online evidence of harassment too.
It has been a couple of years of misery. It really has. So yes, I just wanted to reach out.

Could he move schools?

utopia33 · 20/01/2023 10:39

Ah sorry no, he is no longer in secondary. He is in college and it is carrying on
