I’m looking for some advice. I was in a WhatsApp group which gradually got bitchier towards me, so I decided to leave the group. After I left one girl decided to create drama and accuse me of lying about something. I made the mistake of telling someone something personal in that group which co incidentally just happened to get back to the others just as I left the group. The person who removed me assured me there would be no bother yet I got abusive and nasty texts from this girl and others and no support from the friend who I thought had my back. What’s more, they know she’s lying but are covering for her. The girl is dangerous and is projecting her lies onto me and gaslighting me. I feel deeply betrayed and didn’t even want to be in this group in first place as the group is hugely based on gossip. How do I move on from someone who’s trying to ruin my name? Is this gang mentality common?
