Bullied at work

I'm a new employee and I'm being treated appallingly by the group of women I work with. I've asked to move to a different team and it's in progress. Management is keen not to rock the boat and upset this group of women.

They are awful, I can't begin to explain. Sarcasm, insults, turning their back when talking, trying to wind me up talking about my family, poking me trying to get a reaction.

Why wouldn't management want to deal with it?

Oh that sounds horrible - management can be so gutless sometimes.

How long will it take for you to be moved to a new team? Can you just tolerate it for that time? Is there anything you can document, or is it all just verbal stuff?

Verbal stuff which I have documented.
I'm moving next Wednesday. They provide admin for the department so I will still work with them but it will be bare-able with the support of the other team (according to admin everyone that stands up to them has a bad attitude).

They sound awful - and management are probably scared of them so won't tackle it. Well done for not putting up with it - ultimately, their behaviour causes more hassle for management because they're having to move you so management are suffering the consequences of being shit.

Be careful not to draw their attention once you move though - don't slag them off or tell people why you moved, just keep your head down.

Oh 100%
