Bullying

Dragon School, Oxford

Am currently suing the Dragon School

Proceedings ongoing
Main allegations to do with their failure to prevent bullying, over an extended period of time

Within those proceedings, the Court ordered them to make a payment to us, which they have failed to do. The time limit for making the payment has passed.

Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but if a Court orders you to do something in Court proceedings, shouldn't you do it?

That said, throughout my dealings with them, they appear to have a history of ignoring their legal requirements, their contractual obligations and, indeed, their own policies.

Lots more horrors to tell, but probably on another day

This latest incident really rather epitomises their (in our case, at least) blatant disregard for both their own internal policies, and their external obligations.

Perhaps I'm old fashioned but if you're in the middle of legal proceedings against them, should you really be posting about it on a public forum?

I see from the ISI report, 2014 that "a few pupils commented that the school does not deal appropriately with instances of bullying..." although, to be fair that seems to have had little weight with the inspectors.

This doesn’t surprise me one bit! Too much snobbery, money & competitive parenting mixed with obsessively career building teachers = pastoral care being very low priority.
