Hi all, is my DD 6 being bullied? We live in a village with mostly white people hee my daughter is mixed race, one girl really seems to have it in for my DD
Telling my DD that she don't have things(my DD has everything she asks for)
That my DD don't go on holiday (we do)
Even mentioned a few things about my DD skin ect and then threated my DD with her dad &step dad, they are in the same class but this girl is 8 (mixed classes) she also live on our street and told the other children not to play with my child!! Is this my child being bullied or is this other child jealous of my DD?
DD no longer wants to go to school and often is found crying?
What would you do in this situation?

Yes, it does sound like bullying and you should make an appointment with the school to discuss it. The fact that the other child is two years older makes it worse, as your poor daughter is probably very intimidated by her. I hope it gets sorted out.

The girl sounds horrible. It's unfortunate that she picks on your daughter, hopefully other children won't copy her but she probably intimidates many of them.

I don't know what you can do about it as there is no physical violence. I know if I was her mother I'd be so ashamed and livid but if you speak to her mother, the girl is bound to deny it all.

Encourage your daughter to grow in confidence. Have a word with her teacher who I am sure will be happy to help and keep an eye on things.

Good luck.

It's no help but maybe she's jealous / intimidated.

The racism is probably their parents view too.
