Cyber bullying, Parents in denial

12yr old DD, has been subjected to threats on a well known social media site. I question the child through DD account and asked for Mothers number. Child declined so I ended messaging the mother. She rings and argues that darling daughter wouldn't do such a thing, I have proof of all this, it ended up her pointlessly arguing. So now what? It's not school related. 😠

Go to the police if the threats are that serious

The school will help too.

Keep screenshots

Don't talk to the girl or mother again

The school would certainly take it very seriously - I'd talk to them about what's been going on. In the very unlikely event they say it's not their problem, they can at least point you in the right direction.

It is their problem as outlined in their cyber bullying policy

Anything that spills over into education will be an issue

Yes speak to the form tutor and get them involved
