Medela Symphony: Any compatible 15, 17 and 19 flanges to recommend?

Hello

I currently rent the Medela Symphony pump and it seems that the 21 mm flange (which is the smallest flange they have) is too large for my nipple as it sucks the areola in the flange.

Flanges
I am looking for 19 mm flanges to try that can fit into the Medela Symphony flange connector. Are the "maymom myfit 19 mm flanges/shields" compatible with the Medela Symphony flange connector? If not, what else could I buy?

Pumps
Do you know of any hospital grade pumps that provide 15, 17, 19 size flanges?

Inserts
As far as inserts, a private lactation consultant I paid, gave me the "Nuliie flange inserts" - the 19mm insert but I straggled to insert it to the 24mm Medela flange. I think it actually hurt my nipple when I pumped so I do not feel comfortable using it again. Does it matter what size insert you use and what size flange you are trying to insert that insert? Any good inserts you have used although I really prefer flanges and no flaffing around with inserts.

Thank you in advance 🙏

I have the Nuliie inserts and use with an Ardo flange. They should work with Medela. I don't see why they wouldn't? have you tried lubing up your nipples with coconut oil or similar?

@calishire
What size Aldo flange do you use with what size Nulie insert?

I also have not tried lubing my nipples. I didn't know that I should/could to be honest, none of the feeding/lactation consultants have mentioned this to me.

On a separate note, how are you finding the Ardo pump? The NHS breastfeeding expert at our local children center told me that NHS recommend the Aldo and not the Medela anymore as apparetnly the Medela failed some international standards. What is the lowest flanges with Ardo?

I have the Ardo 26mm flanges and the Nuliie ones fit fine despite meaning to be used with 24mm and it seems to be ok.

I'm using the Ardo Carum on loan from the infant feeding team. I'm thinking of getting the calypso or Alyssa after returning this one just because I now have all the spare parts and it's best to have lots of extras if your pumping slot to save on cleaning. Nice gentle suction but my output doesn't seem to be any better than with my cheap Nuliie Wearable (S32)!

@calishire Are you planning renting straight from Ardo when you return the one you have or buying?

My baby is already 4.5 months old and I can't decide how long I will need to pump so I'm not sure. I'll probably buy the ardo calypso as I can use all the carum parts. I already have two wearables though - the Nuliie S32 and Momcozy S9. So it might be overkill 🙈

Are you happy with the wearables you have? I bought the elvie stride and it expresses half of the quantity of the medela one.

I like the Nuliie one. It was cheap and works well. The momcozy s9 is ok. Get the same/similar amounts but it's not as reliable. Just too many parts and they all have to be completely dry. The wall pump didn't make a huge difference but was more comfortable
