Non.. use your hands.. l used to work for la lechè.
Bowl of hot water on a coffee table.
Sterilised glass jug.
Bend yourself with breast in hand over the Bowl of hot water with the jug.. gently "massage and milk and squeeze" yourself into the jug..100% less painful.. more you do it the more milk you produce. Keep adding hot water for the steam .

Electric all the way. Expressing is not always easy, make it as simple as you can.

The main thing will be stimulating your let down reflex - think about your baby, look at them / a picture, have something that smells like them

Depends. If you need a supply of milk for feeding then electric pump all the way. If you're impacted and uncomfortable and for some reason you can't feed then hand expressing in warm water is most effective I find.

Electric!

Mazuslongtoenail · 27/11/2023 22:08

I’ve had an unbranded Amazon style electric one, an Elvie and a £10 manual - so quite the range. I ended up using the hand one everyday. If you hold the trigger down for a couple of seconds I got loads of milk. And it was much easier to do on the train / plane / out and about.

Thanks everyone
