I have a tommee tippee electric breast pump, the flange/funnel size is 27mm and my nipples are sore. I measured them and I need a 21mm flange/funnel but I cannot find any online that say they’re compatible with tommee tippee.

i need to keep expressing my breast milk or else it will dry up, I’m 3 weeks postpartum and my nipples are sore from the pump, my baby doesn’t latch correctly so she makes them sore too. I need a way to keep expressing the milk so this is pretty urgent.

I’d appreciate any help I can get!
This is the pump I have Tommee Tippee Pump

Have you thought about using nipple shields? They might help your baby to latch and your nipples wont feel so sore.
sorry i don't know about the attachment for the breast pump
these are the shields

I wouldn’t rely too much on the measurement system. I measured mine and it said 21mm but I used the 25mm flanges that came with the pump several times a day for months without issue so perhaps buy what you can and see how it goes.

That aside breastfeeding early on does hurt, in the same way that when baby gets teeth or starts biting it hurts aswell but after a while your body gets used to it and it doesn’t hurt anymore. Week 3 is still very.

I remember that baby turning his head whilst feeding was the most painful thing early on but now my toddler can hang off my nipple by his teeth whilst in a silly position and I can’t feel a thing.

Have you tried nipple shields? They were a saviour to me as I have small nips and they really helped my son latch. Cheap from Amazon

Can you use inserts to make it smaller instead? I bought Maymom ones as I have stupidly small nipples and needed 13mm but had 17mm flanges (also had to import since they're small as it is)

Hi momma! Ran into the same issue as yours. Have you found the right flange? Also have you tried the cushions to reduce the size?

Help xx

@Momnextdoor i didn’t end up solving it, I used both a 24mm and 28mm flange and i dried up within a month of making this post.
I don’t think it was all the flange, it was either because I wasn’t eating enough or pumping enough.

im so sorry that I can’t help. With my next baby, I’m just going to purchase a pump that comes with other flange sizes available. I think the Elvie stride comes with a 21mm and 24mm flange x

I emailed tomee tipee because I couldn’t find any replacements for my pump and they sent out a set of replacements for free so emailing the customer service email might help in finding a flange size
