4 month old EBF extremely painful reflux

Hi all.
Not for me but for a friend.
She has a four month old exclusively breastfed daughter. Daughter has really painful reflux to the point she will not feed.

Infant Gaviscon has been prescribed to be given in 15ml water immediately after feeding. She will not take this. Tried syringes and tried mixing it in a bottle, baby will not take bottle only breast.

I've suggested mixing with a little expressed breastmilk and trying a Doidy cup but if this fails any other ideas?

Baby is in such pain she's not feeding.

Thanks

There are other oral reflux medications that can be used so get your friend to go back to the GP asap

definitely get back to the GP, your friends DD may need an antiacid, which can be dosed in small amounts by syringe. Please get her to get help from the GP asap.
