stupid question, but I have a very bad tummy (ahem) and am in sole charge of DS until about 9pm - not sure I'll get through mealtime and bed time routine without numerous toilet breaks

will I be ok to take an immodium to tide me over until DP gets home?

thanks.

It's not recommended - I phoned NHS Direct about it last year when I had a toddler, a two week old and a dreadful stomach. They basically said 1) they don't recommend taking anything for anyone, the bug has to come out somehow; 2) it might make the baby constipated; 3) oh ok, if you really, really really must. After 3 days of constant problems I cracked and took just the one and it did seem to help (although perhaps there was just nothing left anyway).

Doesn't seem to be anything to be concerned about - but call your doc or see the all-night chemist.

thanks, I couldn't find them in the end, so DS just had to amuse himself a lot this evening. just hope I get some sleep tonight now!

Last time I needed to know if I could take something I phoned the National Breastfeeding Line and they were very helpful.
