Moving to Nutrimagen - how long to see an improvement?

My DS, 15 weeks, has been put onto Nutrimagen formula after no weight gain for 6 weeks and lots of trouble with feeding (other health issues relating to this - hypotonia, long term antibiotics). Paediatrician thinks he may have a cows milk intolerance so wants to try this before any other investigations.

Just wondered if anyone has used this milk and how long it took your baby to adjust to it and show some improvement? At the moment we aren't seeing any difference in his desire to feed or his overall happiness.

Thanks, any advice welcome!

Hi, not identical but my DS was allergic to milk and we switched in two stages: first I went dairy free while breastfeeding, and slowly he started to take Neocate (similar to Nutramigen I think).

I would say that his eczema cleared up significantly within two weeks of me going dairy free. This tallied with what I'd been told about how long effects of food can linger in the system.

Good luck, I hope this helps to resolve your problems.

Thanks Catilla, we've only just started giving him solely Nutramigen (was on a gradual phase over from Aptamil) so will carry on and have everything crossed he starts to improve in next couple of weeks.
