I lost a lot of weight on the atkins diet pre-pregnancy and it has all come back over the nine months. i have tried eating healthly since the birth but the weight doesn't shift, it just grows! Has anyone done the atkins while breatfeeding? If so, was everything ok?

i mentioned it to my HV and she freaked! she said if you are going to do that then stop breastfeeding.
Have you thought of slimming world? i am doing that at the moment and its coming off, not as fast as atkins but if you do red days you can have unlimited meat

I wouldn't either. No no no! (sorry)

Yes join us on the slimming world thread. The diet seems to work if you stick to it and is pretty darn healthy.

I'd be nervous about Atkins while bf, although I'm told diet has very little effect on supply. (Then again, I'd be nervous about Atkins in general.)

It is hard to lose weight after having a baby, I found my extra weight (and then some!) came off between six months and 14 months or so.

You could try the GI or GL diet as an alternative?
