pump parts won't microwave - electric steam steriliser for hard water area

Some of you might have had the same problem as me; needing to sterilise pump parts without using a microwave or cold water. But the electric steam steriliser I tried last time died rapidly in our very hard water. I'm after recommendations for an electric steam steriliser which will survive very hard water. I've asked in "Products", but wanted to catch more people by asking here as well.
Here's the question with more detail.

You do not need to sterilise.
If you still want to, then just boil the pump parts for few minutes.

I live in a really hard water area and the Avent one you mention has done really well. My friend has had hers for both DCs and it's still going strong. Maybe yours could have been faulty?

We went through 3, so we either had a really bad batch or they don't survive us (and it's not as if we weren't really carefully following the instructions, because we were - paranoidly so after the first failure.)

Wow your water must be super hard! Sorry I couldn't be more help. Hopefully someone will be able to.
