Worried milk hasn't come in properly

I had my ds on Tuesday. I thought my milk would come in like it did with ds1 on day 3/4 but although my boobs are massive and hard, I haven't got any gushing like I did with ds1 (milk was spurting everywhere when I had him) and when I was feeding one side, breast pad on the other side would be soaked and I'd feel a real sense of relief after each feed even though he was a quick feeder. This time hardly any engorgement despite their size, breastpads are dry and when it's feed time breasts aren't leaking. Is it possible there's a problem and my milk isn't coming in for some reason or that it might come in on day 5 or later this time? Does this happen with 2nd time breast feeding. DS2 seems to be latched on ok, doesn't feed for long - 10/20mins every 3/4 hours but loads of dirty nappies and huge wees and sleeping all the time. Also his nappies have turned mustard yellow so should I assume there is milk there? When I squeeze a bit out it's a kind of watery yellowish colour but not bright yellow like it was at the start.

I have never had any leaking, they are a bit full in the mornings but no other engorgement either.

Sounds like you are just lucky this time round.

My milk just looks like opaque water.

Have now bfed for over 3 years (2dc) and I have never leaked a single drop.

So long as there are wees and poos and he's putting on weight, he's getting the milk he needs.

Not everyone get's leaking (lucky them). And every baby mother BF relationship is different. Could just that your boob's have done it before so are better ajusted this time round. Hope that happens to me
Oh and just a quik point my milk didn't just suddenly come in first time round it was a gradual change over a couple of days although I did get the big hard boobs. Then lots of leaking.

As long as he's producing lots of wet and durty nappies and is happy then all should be fine.

Maybe your breasts have just got a bit more efficient now they know what they are meant to do, IYSWIM?

I had gradual increase in engorgement from day 2 to 5 this time but with less pain - for dc3. Her latch was so good from the start - unlike the other two that I think she was draining my boobs before they got so big and hard as last two times. Maybe it's the same for you. The best judge of your milk is your baby and he's clearly doing great.

On ds I used to soak the bedding and my nighty would be dripping every night. On dd my breasts seemed to know what they were doing more no were near as much leaking even though my milk came in after 12hours and less engorgement. My milk settled down quicker too . I am guessing your body knows how much milk to make this time .
