How much milk does your toddler drink in the morning and bedtime?

DS2 is 14mo and has been BF just morning and bedtime for the last couple of months. But this week he has been biting me at every feed and tonight wouldn't latch on at all (he is teething so no idea if it will last).

I'm not too bothered if it's the end of BF as I feel I've done a good stint and he eats like a horse and drinks water all day. But offered some cow's milk in a cup after failure of bedtime BF and he only took about 50ml. I've no idea if that's enough or how much he used to take by boob so just wondered what others of a similar age had...

It does sound as though he might be ready to self-wean. That would be completely natural and no problem at all. In many ways much easier than having to wean a child who doesn't want to!
A toddler is recommended to take 200ml of milk a day, which can also include yogurt and cheese in take.
Don't worry if he doesn't drink that much at first. It is quite normal for a child to only take a little from a cup as it's still a new form of drinking for him. As he gets used to the new milk and the new cup, you'll find he drinks more. You can also offer it at more times during the day if you are worried that he's not getting enough each time.

Thanks RC. I suppose I'm a bit sad too because DS1 fed til 20m so I thought I'd have a while longer, and because DS2 is probably my last baby. Also I wouldn't have chosen to wean in this heat, but as you say, if it's his choice then I can't really complain.

I offered boob this morning but he pushed away and cried, did take some from a cup though and a big breakfast! So I guess that's that...
