3 week old baby throwing up much more milk - help please

It's been really hot today. Really, really hot. My 3 week old got too hot in the Phil n' Ted pushchair and then vomited up ALL his milk. He has been struggling all day and I smell like old cheese as he is vomited some milk after every feed. (he always has been quite sickey but nothing like this) He is still having pooey nappies but they are certainly not as wet as normal. I am feeding him frequently just in case of dehydration. He seems otherwise normal though. What do people think? Any advice?

I would go to the GP if it's every feed, 'projectile' in nature and if the amount of milk is significant. I've just replied on another thread that my son had a condition called 'pyloric stenosis' when he was 2 - 3 weeks old and required an operation to correct it. Reflux can result in similar symptoms as can gastroentiritis or tummy bugs (quite common in hot weather). So see your GP if it carries on.

Both my other children had reflux diagnosed when they were babies. I am pretty confident that my 3 week old has reflux too but what I don't understand is why it seems so much worse in the hot weather. Only the first feed fit your description, the rest of them just seem more than normal.
