Changing to formula (and weaning off breast)

Hi, I have a nearly 7 month old who is eating 3 meals a day and I've decided now is time to stop bf. She will just about take a bottle now (from my partner) and will keep expressed milk down but always throws up with formula. I've tried diluting formula and changing brands but she's still sick. Has anyone else had this experience and what helped?! I really want to stop expressing so I can feed her with the bottle with no temptation to go back to bf. Any advice would be really appreciated

Is she sick because she is cow's milk intolerant?

This happened to my nephew - he was cows milk intolerant, and he refused the special formula given to him by GP. If you have tried all the different brands go and see GP to discuss - do not be tempted to try soya formula because using soya formula in cows milk intolerant children can often make them intolerant to soya too.

My SIL ended up BF until 15 months and then used oat milk for him.

Can she keep normal cows milk down? You can't give it as a main drink but if she can keep it down then you can rule out her being cows milk intolerant.

Also wanted to say this happened to one of my friends sons and she had success with goats milk formula although it smelt really vile but he did not puke it up.
