what is her weight gain like?

how are your breasts?

also what are her feeds like?

It is a symptom of a cleft palate, so if it happened regularly it might be something they ought to check for.

My DS did this and it was reflux. The contents were quite acidic so hurt him.Once a bit of it flicked on me and it stung. He's on medication to neutralise the stomach acid.

I'd speak to your doctor. Don't let them fob you off though - push to get checked for a cleft palate as Fiona says and look out for reflux symptoms (wriggling, crying during a feed, wet burps, unsettled sleep).

It was reflux in ds1 too - not helped by a milk intolerance (got better when I cut out dairy)

sorry havent been back on had manic couple of days. i saw the doc and she said is normal but think may have been fobbed off.

her feeds are quite short and lots of the them and she gets alot of wind, quite often when she burps it is a wet one, and she does seem to get tummy aches all the time, screaming, legs kicking etc.

i think i'll give it a few more days and if it carries on will see doc again.

oh and she was 8lb 1oz born and is now 10lb 2oz at 7 weeks so 2lb gained. is that normal.
