Anyone recommend a follow-on milk for a 10 month old who doesn't like Aptamil?

Aptamil seems to cause 3 hourly poo explosions, which hasn't happened since pre-weaning days.

I was mixed feeding breast & SMA up until 3 weeks ago. Stopped the bfing and skin went a bit dry, so thought it was the SMA's fault and tried Aptamil (thinking the pricier milk would be better, durr).

Still got dry skin and these poo explosions, plus generally quite a grumpy baby at the moment.

Going to go back on the SMA, any other suggestions from parents of babies with similar constitutions? Please let it not be a problem with dairy...

Yes I suggest not using follow on milk, its a big con!
Keep your baby on the formula you were using and then switch to cows milk at 12 months.

As Mosschops said, no need to use follow on milk.

Ah ha! Babes was exclusively breastfed until he was weaned, though, so I'm still in unknown territory

And there is NO WAY I am firing my boobs up again!

The dry skin could be the time of the year, not the milk DS1 always has dry skin in the summer but fine in the winter. Go to doctor for some doublebase and lather him in it.

Mine all hated Aptamil but liked Hipp; they went straight to it from exclusive bfing

Hipp you say? Will try that if the SMA doesn't firm things up a bit, thank you.

Doublebase sounds interesting too...

I would go back to the SMA if she was fine on that. SMA has fewer of the added extras that Aptamil has, Hipp has fewer extras as well. Cow and Gate is somewhere in the middle. No idea about Heinz.
