A few questions about switching from breast to formula...

Dd2 is 4.5 mo now and for the last week I have been introducing formula feeds.

She is drinking 7oz bottles in 5 minutes flat!! She is currently having 3 formula feeds a day and 4 breast feeds but today I think she is going to drop one feed.

My boobs are not engorged at all when I go without a feed. Should I just switch all feeds to formula now?

i think it is best to drop one feed at a time.
this will prob only take one week to do.

going from 4 breast to none may not be very good for your boobs. and they sudden change for babe may cause contipation and/or sickness.

good luck

Hi, I know this thread is a few weeks old, but am posting just in case mama2moo is around.

I heard that feeds should be dropped one at a time, every 5 days-1 week so your boobs don't get blocked.

Drop middle afternoon feed 1st, then dinner time one, morning and night time feeds should be dropped last.

Not sure if that is 100% medical professional advice, but it's what another mum told me.

HTH.
