Finally weaned dd4 (19mo) need advice re sore boobs and periods!

Dd4 has been weaned for a fortnight or so, she was done to morning and (all) night feeds hence the weaning.

It has gone very well but although I'm not leaking milk one of breasts (her favorite) still feels heavy and full and is sore to the touch, I have had mastitis before and it doesn't feel like that just like it's uncomfortably full at times, how long until this stage passes?

Also I'm on the contraceptive jab so haven had periods for 6 months or so but since weaning her I have had a constant period, my jab isn't due for another fortnight so I don't think it is that, could it be the weaning?

I didn't realise you could have the jab and breast feed.
If you hand express a little milk of that breast (only for say 30 seconds and no more), you'll release a bit of pressure whilst not stimulating the milk supply again.
