Egg allergy and breastfeeding

I'm still BFing my 21mo DS, who is allergic to eggs and reacts to my breastmilk if I eat them.

However, he's away for the weekend with my mum - if I eat eggs over the weekend will it be out of my BM by the time he comes back on Monday?

dying for bacon and eggs having not had any for nearly two years

I can't give you an absolute answer but I would not eat the eggs and be grateful for the bacon. You certainly have my sympathy though as I was in a similar situation and I know that sometimes the cravings are so strong! Not too much is known about allergens clearing from the body and it likely cvaries between people and also type of allergen.

Hi there. My DS has an egg allergy and other allergies. He's currently EBF. I have been told my our consultant that it can take 6 weeks for all traces of allergen to clear from both my and his systems. So...not what you want to hear but afraid I don't think the eggs are a good idea. Sorry. I feel your pain!!
