going away for a night - will my milk supply dry up?

I bf DD twice a day (she is 11 months)

At the weekend I am going away for one night with friends. She will get her morning feed on Sat am but then I won't be back until sunday mid morning. I suppose she will only miss her bedtime feed on sat night.

I want to continue feeding her, I am just worried this will stop my supply

This won't stop your supply,it takes quite a while to go once it has been well established. You might get a bit engorged though so maybe you need to take a pump with you in case.

Thanks hellmelly - I have never expressed since having DD (I expressed years ago when I had DS but not very successfully). I will take my pump just incase

You may find it a lot easier to express if you're really full on the Saturday night. It won't affect your supply but you might need to do it to be comfortable.

I have never managed expressing well, only tried a few times when I had blocked ducts, but when my dd went on a two day nursing strike at 7m I managed to pump enough to keep my breasts comfortable.(I was also worried about my supply as she was hardly on any solids)You may find by sunday morning they are a bit full and lumpy if you don't,and you may start to feel rather weepy and emotional,or at least I did, funny hormonal thing happened when she didn't feed for a day.
