Hiya, DD2 is 11 months and in the last 1.5 months she has stopped feeding at night, and I've dropped the day feeds as well, to the point that I'm just feeding her before bedtime now.

At about 10 months my period returned (I guess triggered by the night feeds stopping), normal period for me of about a week. But then 2 weeks later I started again, very light period but enough to need to use pads, and its still going nearly 2 weeks later. WTF? Is this normal at the tail end of BF? It didn't happen when I stopped BF (well, expressing to feed...) DD1 at 12 months.

I have had this .DD also 11 months. You can get weird patterns of bleeding when the hormones are returning to normal. Daon't think it means too much yet. If it persists once BF stopped for 3-6 ,months then I would see a Dr. Are you smears up to date?

Thanks. Not too worried about it being anything sinister, just wondering really. Good to know its a normal thing thanks. Smears aren't up to date, but I'm still not quite healed up there (wonders of natural childbirth), so not quite up to it yet!
