Christening on sunday, bf'ng a 7 week old...

DP helpfully tells me today that he'd really like us to attend a christening on sunday. My current wardrobe contains nothing suitable as formal wear whilst breastfeeding - I'm wondering if any of you can recommend sites that sell gorgeous nursing clothes?

Or perhaps you've seen something recently that isn't strictly a nursing outfit but would work?

I'll be meeting several of his good friends/their partners for the first time so want to look as good as possible I'm luckily only a few pounds over my prepregnancy weight, a size 8 (or 8-10 around my flabby tummy!).

Thanks in advance for any help/advice/links!

I had to dress quite smartly last weekend and wore a lovely knee length skirt with a black fitted top with Frilly shoulders and a black vest underneath and some killer wedges. It looked really smart and was fine for bf

yes, you don't need to wear special bf clothes. a top and smart trousers/skirt much easier than a dress, and wear a vest underneath as 5 weeks suggests. i wore this sort of thing for several weddings when bf.

i also bought a lovely bf dress from this site
but you won't have time now to order anything on line.

they will all be looking and admiring your baby anyway, so as long as you are half decent don't worry! Nice accessories (shoes, jewellery etc) help me feel better about sometimes getting dressed in a hurry! oh, and a pashmina is great for covering up breasts when latching on or even baby sick on your top!

have a good day.

I have bought a few tops from www.mamaway.co.uk, they can be expensive, but I am stingy and got some in the sale. Including coincidentally one for a christening.

I like the two layer top thing. I have tried the vest underneath thing but get all tangled up somehow!

GOod luck shopping

I went to a wedding when my second DS was 6 weeks old. I wore a wrap style dress and due to how it warped around me on one side I
had easy access for feeding with not needing to cover up and I just covered with a small blanket the other. Worked really well

Meant wrapped!
