Started weaning and already DS seems less interested in my boobs?

Or maybe it's just continuing distractibility? We've just started weaning (combining puree and BLW) and he's eating LOADS but I'm a bit worried that bfs are becoming v quick - he definitely doesn't seem as hungry for milk, which makes sense I suppose.

BUT surely he still really needs the milk, as he's having nowhere near a 'balanced diet' on solids?

I feel as if I'm force-feeding him breastmilk as I have to keep re-latching him on to get him to drink more. Should I just trust him to take what he needs?

My 6mo DS is the same but if I take him somewhere dark and quiet he will concentrate and eat a lot. He's also feeding a fair bit at night so i'm assuming it is distractability rather than anything else.

Also DS can now feed in 5 mins or less. We had a very busy day last week and I didn't get round to giving him solids so he just had bm. feeds didn't take any longer although he did still get very distracted.

My 8m DD is exactly the same and has been doing this since I started weaning her at 6 months. I sit there for about half an hour at a time just to get her to have a little bit. Its got to a point where she wont feed unless she's holding a toy in her hand so that keeps her entertained for a little while she feeds. Longest she will feed for is 5-10 minutes in the morning, never more than 5 mins any other time (usually about 1-2 mins, total of 5mins if I keep trying)

I've decided to express as much as I can and add this to her food so atleast she's getting something.

I guess we just have to go with their lead and hope in time that they will feed properly? Just keep trying in the meantime, I know its very frustrating. Good luck
