struggling to position older baby

Hi, I'm breastfeeding my near 8 month old daughter and whilst I have no problem at home (I find it easy to lie her on a pillow to feed her while I sit in an armchair) I'm really struggling to feed her anywhere else. I just can't seem to hold her correctly -she ends up getting frustrated, crying and pulling off which is quite embarrassing when its happening in the middle of let-down if I'm in public. Its meant we've been quite restricted in going out. Any tips on how you hold your baby would be really appreciated. Thanks

No tips, but awaiting your replies with interest! I've got the same age DD and, although she's always been quite difficult to position, she's even harder now and latch is sometimes awful. When out, I have her lying on my lap but I know my back is all bent over and it's not comfortable.
