Nearly 9m and seems to only want to BF 3 times a day

Hi all DS2 is nearly 9m and is BF and on 3 meals a day. For the past week has not been interested in the BF before lunch (between 10:30-11:30 usually). He literally drinks for a minute each breast.

Should I drop it and replace it with a snack/water?

That would mean he feeds are as follows:
6:00am BF
7:00am Breakfast
12:00 Lunch
2:45-3:45 (varies) BF
5:00 Dinner
6:30-7:00pm BF

He does sip water with a teeny amt of apple juice (if not he gets constipated) throughout the day too.

I don't want to "force" any BF. He tends to bite if he is not interested and after a few incidents of this I'd rather not go down this route.

Advice welcome.

I reduced BFs to morning and night when I went back to work (DCs were 7 months). Continued morning and night with DS til 13 months, DD lost interest at 10 months. Both went straight onto cup as I couldn't get either to take a bottle (and with hindsight meant I didn't have to wean off a bottle too!) Too long ago to remember what other drinks they had between meals, but it was water rather than milk, offered with meals and inbetween I think.

if he is a very efficient feeder a minute from each breast might be quite a bit! if your milk comes out quickly too. if you think about it, if you were glugging at full pace for a minute, you could probably get quite a lot of liquid - it might be same for him.

if he is messing about and biting though, good idea to take him off, like you said .
