im sure this question has been asked many times but here i go anyway. my baby will be 3 weeks old on Thursday and during the day would sometimes go for around 4 hours without a feed (he wont be asleep all that time - just for the last two hours or so). Should I wake him to feed? He is generally antsy in the evenings (around 9-12pm) and i feed him more then. He can then sleep between 4 and 6 hours at night. A little advice would be much appreciated

i would say that at 3 weeks going 4 hours between feeds is ok, though i would prob get a bit antzy if it was regulqarly more than that

I never let DS go longer than two hours at three weeks, as I was trying to establish milk supply. Of course he usually fell asleep again pretty quickly, but I went through the motions anyway, and STILL ended up with some supply issues for quite a while after 6 weeks (when they usually reckon supply is established). Might just have been me, but I'd put the effort in now to hopefully reap dividends later, IYSWIM.
