Help please! 17 wk DS only taken 15oz today (norm 35)

He has seemed a little tired and had a touch of the runs but just doesn't want his bottle. He took 6 oz at lunchtime but the 4 other bottles hes taken almost nothing.

Offered him water instead but he's not keen.

Should I be worried? (I am) and if not what should I be thinking. Is it just teething?

no its not just teething. Or at least it never had this effect on mine. he sounds as though he could have a tummy bug.

Have you tried paracetamol? if not try it keep offering him feeds and if theres no improvement tomorrow am get him checked over as he's taking half his usual feed.

If he has a dry nappy get him to a&e. Even if its overnight.

Just tried some dentinox and he's taking a bit more milk (about 3oz). I'll change his nappy when he finishes this feed and hope it's very wet. I realise dehydration is dangerous but he doesn't seem ill just a bit less like his normal self. He's slept a bit more than normal today too but is still up now which is about 2hrs later than normal.

He had been crying after being reoffered his bottles but he's not done that with this last one. If I need to I'll try some calpol to help him settle as I'm sure he's tired but just won't drop off. Probably not full either.
