Will I able to go to this wedding without DD? And how?

My best friend is getting married in July and I am the maid of honour. I would really like to be able to leave DD with my Mum for the day and night so that I can dedicate myself to my (inevitably hysterical) friend and possibly get a little tipsy... (And not have to take the whole dress over my head to BF...)

DD is four months now - so she will be 7 months then. My anxiety is that she has always steadfastly refused any kind of bottle. The question is: does this usually change once they start on solids? Or would she be more likely to take a cup? I would like to be able to prepare for this so that she can feed comfortably without me, but am not sure how to go about it. Or should I wait til she starts weaning?

As long as your mum is happy to take your dd, don't worry too much about how she will get fed. If she is hungry I'm sure she will take the food/milk offered - 7 months is very different to 4 months.

Yes, my Mum is brilliant. I was just getting a little pessimistic as she couldn't get her to take any milk from a bottle or cup when we left her for a couple of hours last week. But you're right - I am clealy being paranoid as she will be twice as old by then... (I mean DD will. Not my Mum...)
