NUK Bottles? Are they the best for bf baby?

I know there is stuff about these bottles and others in the archives but i wondered if there might have been some new introductions on the market this year.
Do people find that NUK bottles are the best for the breastfed baby who refuses bottles?
I currently try to give ebm in an avent bottle, which ds1 (3) took no problem at about 6wks. Now ds2 is 15wks and I fear I may have left it too long as he hates the bottle!
He has taken an avent bottle of ebm twice (about a month ago) but with a huge fight. Now he is just refusing so thought I might try NUK as they're meant to be very like nipples, especially the latex ones. He won't take dummies either and does suck my nipples for comfort too.
Anybody use the NUK latex?
Any advice welcome! I have to leave him for a whole day next week so need to get this bottle thing sorted asap.
Thank you

I think ergonomically they are the closest shape to a nipple in a mouth. That said, they are not a nipple in a mouth and no matter how hard you try some babies just will not have it at all.

So no advice I am afraid at all, just try little and often and the baby might like it and might not.

When I was expecting dd1 I got an Avent sterilizer with the bottles. I breastfed and dd would not take the Avent bottles at all.

Then I tried the NUK latex wide neck bottle and she took to them straight away - she was about 5 months old at that stage. She did use a NUK soother though so maybe she was used to their shape.

Stayed with NUK for the occasional bottle for dd2 and she had no problems with them either.

It would be worth just buying one to see if it suits your ds.

Hope this helps.

thank you yes, that is a great help. i will order one today i think. i thought my ds1 was a mummy's boy but ds2 is even more so!
might try a nuk soother too as i am a bit of a human dummy at the mo - he's on there now.
