DS2 is 16 weeks today. Up until he was about 12 weeks he would wake once during the night for a feed, normally around 4am although once at 5:30am!
Since the 12 week mark, he's been waking at 2 or 3am then again at 5 or 6am before waking for the day at 7ish.
He feeds (bf) around 3 hourly all through the day (7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 6:30pm) then has a bottle at 10:30pm. Initially this was ebm but now is formula in the hope that it bought me another hour at night.
He's had a cold for what feels like forever but is probably around 4 weeks. It was easing but then he had his jabs and so the snuffles came back. This seems to wake him at 5am as he can't breathe properly.
The last week we've moved to 2 hourly, and now he wakes almost hourly from about 3am.
He's 16lb and sits on the 75th centile.

Any advice, tips for more sleep, hand holding gratefully recieved. I am really feeling the sleep deprivation as DS1 is 4 and so I don't get chance to catch up in the day. I feed laying down at night to rest, but am wondering if this means he's not feeding as efficiently? He drains a side in 5 mins and is never interested in the other side. He follows his line though so presume he's getting enough.

Sorry, long waffle .. thanks for listening. I enjoy bf so don't want to give up but am finding this really hard. I only managed 12 weeks with DD and 4 weeks with DS1 so this is all a bit of a shock.

Hi
My son is 8mths now(75th centile) and having similar problems with feeding through night also due to a cold. I'm hoping as cold improves so will sleeping,I think they probably are more thirsty with a cold, like us or else it's a comfort thing. Sometimes he will go back to sleep without feed with my husband rocking and cuddling him. Can you get any help to settle him in the night when he wakes? I don't lie down to feed, not that I think this affects the amount (he only takes one side at each feed usually). I have been going to bed about the same time as him (8.30 - 9.30 ish) so I get max sleep, but might get up earlier in am so I have some time to myself.
You're not alone! Hope things improve soon.
