Sore, tender boob since last night. Shivering.

Expressing from sore boob to try and relieve pressure - thick, slimy gunky milk coming out - is that the sign of a blocked duct? My boob doesn't hurt so much now and I'm not shivering anymore. I keep expressing, but no 'liquid' milk is coming out - just the slimy stuff.

Does anyone recognise this and should I be very worried?

Sounds like mastitis to me, have a look on kellymom website and see if the symptoms match. You have to keep scrolling and reading, most helpful stuff is at the bottom.

You may need antibiotics asap.
