Weaning my 16-month-old - how important is it that she drinks milk as a substitute?

She loves yoghurt and cheese, and has milk in porridge and white sauces with pasta etc.

She's just not interested in milk as a drink. Do we need to get her to drink it if I stop breastfeeding?

It is recommended that young children drink 200ml of milk per day, or the equivalent. If she consumes the same amount of cheese, yoghurt, milk in food etc, you have no need to worry. You'll probably find that her milk drinking increases once she's fully weaned though.
