Sorry to do another one of these, but was just feeding DD and looked down at her. She caught me looking, came off to smile and coo at me, then latched back on and continued feeding.

Today ds (17mo) was bf'ing and clapping his hands in time to the music on the radio. I laughed and he gave me a huge grin while still latched on

Oh, and he also waved goodbye to his daddy while having his morning feed today

FaintlyMacabre · 09/02/2010 21:27

DS (2.3) loves pretending to be baby animals at the moment, and I have to provide the milk.

So far we have had kitten, hedgehog and sheep milk (fair enough, they are mammals) but also penguin, dinosaur and car milk. I think some paleontologists may be interested in the dinosaur milk .

DS when he was newborn used to co-sleep, and when he was finished feeding he used to come off, shake his head slightly, sigh and flop down using my boob as a pillow I miss that!

Squarepig · 11/02/2010 11:44

Loving the dinosaur and car milk!

I've got a cardi that I wear a lot because it doesn't show the milk sick too much and undoes easily with a big chunky zip. Every now and again, I don't realise that said zip is pressing against his face as he feeds, and he comes off with what looks like an infant Heidelberg duelling scar up his fat cheeks. But zip-shaped.

One afternoon, he fed from both breasts, and ended up with zip tracks down both sides of his face!

the first feed when my milk came in after a 5 day wait. that contented look with milk dripping down her chin was wonderful

FakePlasticTrees · 11/02/2010 11:54

the first time my DS properly latched after refusing for 11 days and having to have fomula or EBM

im with mrs mot mot on this 1 !!!
i was stck on the m3 just outside of basingstoke due to all that snow for over 14 hours waiting for recovery, i was so happy that dd who was only 12/13 weeks didnt suffer and i was all she needed, i did my good samariton bit too and gave away a bottle of expressed bm to a hysterical mother and child who had run out of formula dh was so proud saying "thats it superboobs you feed the world lol" (superboobs being my nickname since then)

MamaGoblin · 11/02/2010 18:59

DS discovering he could squirt me at about 9 months - his eyes following the trajectory across the living room, and the wicked look on his face when he tried to do it again!

He tried to say 'other' when he wanted the other boob a couple of months ago, and came out with 'Udder'! I roared with laughter and so of course he repeated it, and it's become a sort of private joke between us now.

The giggles when he'd almost dropped off on my lap, and I stroked his cheek ... not peculiar to bf though.

Oh, and I breastfed a shark cuddly toy the other day.

JaMmRocks · 11/02/2010 22:05

Oh the grins are the sweetest, it's why I keep going sometimes.

Yesterday DS2 was so keen to get going, he was still bellowing as latching on, blew a raspberry around my nipple

Moomma · 11/02/2010 22:57

Latching my five-month-old DS on after being away for a couple of hours, during which his grandmother had -forcefed- given him a bottle of formula (which he HATED). He held on to my boob with both hands and kept giving it little gentle strokes and pats, as if to say, 'never leave me again... I missed you...'

CrosswordGeek · 11/02/2010 23:40

The way that DD roots around for it when she's sleepy. I'll lie her down in bed with me and she'll just turn her head over and stick her tongue out of her mouth until she finds skin.

This has left me with a few dodgy boob hickies when we were both too tired to realise what was going on!

Definitely agree with the drunk, drippy milk face too.
