Which is best, the Medela or the Avent hand pump?

I bought a secondhand Avent Isis to use while traveling and I've found it really handy to have a manual pump as well as my Medela Swing. But, my cat is rubber/silicone obsessed and has just bitten the valve to pieces It's cheaper to buy another pump than to replace the parts

I only got the Avent last time because it was local and I needed it quick. It was fine but not ideal, is the Medela better? It's this one that seems to be available second hand, not sure if there are others.

I borrowed someone's medela with my first child, it was really good. Second time round I bought the Isis manual pump and was very disappointed. Was nowhere near as effective. If it was still damp from sterilising the let down cushion wouldn't seal properely around the plastic funnel and then it wouldn't suck properely either. If that makes sense? It just wasn't as good. Never got as much in espressing and it took longer.

With my friends Medela one, an item had become damaged, I rang them and they sent me a replacement for free! And it wasn't even my pump, I hadn't bought it! So my personal preference is medela.
