Will 8 month old get enough milk if drop afternoon feed

Hi,

My 8-month old DD currently has 3 milk feeds a day. She normally has a feed in the afternoon about 4ish. However, she only really likes to have milk now when she's tired so as she's often not that tired then, it can be difficult get her to have much milk. Also, she's really easily distracted so it's hard with my 3yo DS running about, and especially if we're out and about. She's mainly breast fed, though trying to get her to take a bottle (getting there slowly if DH gives her it before bed but practically laughs at me if I offer her the bottle)so trying to bf in public if we're out is a nightmare.

So some days she is ending up hardly having any milk in the afternoons and I worry then that she's not getting enough milk. I try to get milk/cheese into her meals where possible, but still don't think she will be getting the 5-600ml a day of milk she's supposed to be having.

Any advice plse?

My HV told me to drop DD's evening feed at nine months which meant she only had the morning one! She said she did not need it if she was having milk in her breakfast and a yoghurt each day.

My son dropped the afternoon feed at 10 months. Seems to prefer a food snack and a drink of water with his older brother. He still feeds morning and before bed and often in the middle of the night.
Also calcium intake does not have to come from just dairy you can look up other calcium rich foods for her
