We cosleep and at night feed on demand but in the day I'm starting to refuse a feed.

I want to get her to sleep without the boob.

I have about five months to do this as I am going away for a weekend this summer with no dd but I so want to go.

Have you tried leaving your DD to sleep without you, maybe at a grandparents ?

You might find that she will be fine without you and the milk, whilst you are away for a weekend, without the need to wean her.

If you are interested in continuing to nurse her that is

Hello, my first post but watching with interest for advice on this one.

I have a 14 month old DS and also co-sleep and feed on demand at night (to the horror of my MIL) although he very rarely feeds during the day. I had planned to bf for longer but my husband and I are recently separated and now I need to be able to travel for work. So far, the evening I was late home from a work meeting, he just stayed awake til I got back and fed him, despite my mum's best efforts to get him to sleep.

CC and other non-AP techniques are a no no as far as I'm concerned.
