cow's milk allergy when breastfed?

My mum thinks an allergy to cow's milk might be the cause of my baby's dry itchy skin and general snuffliness. I'm starting to be a bit more convinced by this theory although alarmed by the idea of not eating cow's milk, cheese, butter etc...

Has anyone else's baby had this, and if so, how long did it take to make a difference by cutting cow's milk products out of your diet?

Definitely was the case with ds - he had eczema and as soon as I cut out all dairy it disappeared.

It's worth a try? You may see improvements within a few days although some people would say it takes weeks.

It's hard at first but there's a lot available nowadays in supermarkets that's dairy-free.
