God, she is fabulous and whatsmore, articulate and attractive and generally lovely.
A wonderful woman.

Thanks for this.

She's my hero.

I've just sent a link to my local bookshop asking them if they'd consider getting her in for a reader event...

Thanks for posting this, it was extremely interesting to hear what she had to say.

Gabrielle has retired and wants to focus on family life. the Pinter and Martin website has a lovely letter she wrote on this topic.

foxytocin · 16/01/2010 17:39

I saw her in Leicester last year at the ABM conference and touched the hem of her trousers chatted with her. She is a truly wonderful lady in every way I can imagine.

Thanks for posting this! The new edition of The Politics of Breastfeeding is completely revised and expanded, with lots of new info, so it's well-worth it (but I am the publisher!).

Link to Gabrielle's retirement letter on the Pinter & Martin website is here.

GabriellePalmer · 16/01/2010 18:04

Sorry, that wasn't Gabrielle posting just now, but Pinter & Martin! She used this computer for the webchat and I forgot to change log-in details!

pinterandmartin · 16/01/2010 18:06

Now I managed to change it. Gabrielle has left the building!

her book is extraordinary and a true eye opener
