DS wanted to feed every hour through the night!

DS has yet another cold at the moment so every time he stirs even a little bit at night he cries until he is fed. For the last few nights this has meant feeding him about every hour by the time he has eaten, gone to sleep, woken up needing to fart, farting, needing to be fed back to sleep.

I think the cold is meaning that his latch isn't great so more air is being sucked in, hence the windyness.

I know I've just got to keep going until the cold is better and it won't take long but I'm getting a bit knackered, even though DS is in a bedside cot. Any tips so I can feel I'm doing something positive? Otherwise just a 'keep calm and carry on' would help as DH is not being at his most supportive just at the minute...

oh yes the cruel hourly feed - it does suck, doesn't it? (pardon the pun!)

if it helps any a LLL consultant I spoke with once said it takes as long for them to get out of a bfing habit as it took to get into it. So a three-day cold, he should be back to normal again three days later. Theoretically. And only until the next issue raises its head...

Chocolate beside the bed...? I'm partial to food and drink to 24-7 to keep my energy up!
My DS is 4 weeks and not keen on giving me huge chunks of sleep. I'm just waiting for the spring knowing this long dark winter will not last.
Sending you hugs in the middle of the night!
