Help! breast-fed baby hates expressed milk from a bottle

Hello. I am new to Mum's net so hope this works!
My baby is 3 months old and loathes with a passion drinking expressed breast milk from a bottle. We have tried: 3 different teats / Hot and cold / Freshly milked / Different times of day / Daddy or Nana doing it with Mum not even in line of vision....
Does anyone have any advice? I want him to take to it so that he can be fed by his Daddy - for the bonding, and for the occasional opportunity for me to have a break!

giving you a break is one thing - but bonding - dad's can bond perfectly well without having the bottle feed - so don't get hung up on that.

Have you tried you not being in the room or even the house ? If you are around then the baby can probably tell you are there.

If my little one knows I'm around he won't touch a bottle.

My DD refused expressed milk out of anything at all, even if it was warm and fresh! Even if I was out the house but would happily have water and when we started formula she would happily have that but still refused the expressed milk.

hello oopsandbaby... wot does DD mean? thank u 4 lettin me know your situation! makes me feel better! i feel like it is my fault for not bein organised at beginning to try him with bottle every day without fail. but maybe they just don't like it.

Hi DD is daughter.

I know this is heresy, but maybe you'd be successful with the bottle if there was formula in it? Maybe it's the bm that's confusing and upsetting her? All of mine would take a little water from a bottle if it wasn't very cold, but bottled bm, no way.

I didn't want to discourage you - but mine first son (DS1) wouldn't touch EBM from a bottle either (mind you wouldn't touch formula either). You could try cup feeding. Or just give up on the idea for a few months if it doesn't work. No point in expressing if you don't need to.
